I remember when the first Martha Stewart Kids magazines were published, a dozen years ago. I wasn't even close to having a child, but I bought those magazines and loved them. I loved them for the reminders of my own creative childhood and I loved them for the possibilities they contained for the future.
My issues are worn and faded now, as well-loved copies of old magazines get over time. So I was delighted to receive a copy of the new Martha Stewart's Favorite Crafts for Kids. It's a compilation of 175 of the best projects from both Martha Stewart Kids and Martha Stewart Living magazines and it's a great resource for you and all the little ones in your life.
One of my favorite projects from the book is the Shell Menagerie, and I've got a big jar of seashells awaiting transformation. Personally, I simply have to make the Koalas. But my son? Well, he's inspired, but he's going to create his own version of bugs. That's what I love about all the Martha Stewart books - they're wonderful inspiration, which is sometimes all you need to forge your own path!
