Better Homes and Gardens asked my husband and I to come up with a playlist for the party featured in the October issue. It was a fun collaboration for us and this is what we came up with. It's by no means a comprehensive list, but a sampling of songs to include. If you have any other suggestions to add, we'd love your input!

I think the most Halloween song is 'Halloween' by Hysterica. You can't get better than that!

Many of these are ghost stories, others evoke the season. None are overplayed:
Hypnotized - Fleetwood Mac
Wild Night - Van Morrison
The Ballad of Peter Pumpkin Head - Crash Test Dummies
Homeland - John Hiatt
Home by the Sea - Genesis
Planet Claire - B-52s
Secret - The Pierces
Further on up the road - Bruce Springsteen
Echoes - Pink Floyd
Moondance - Van Morrison
Domino - Genesis
Harvest Moon - Jason and the Scorchers

I really like your selection of music. Its a great eclectic mix and doesn't contain your cliche songs. Try checking out http://hallowmix.com as well for some runner-ups!
