I enjoy seeing features in magazines with great title pages. Martha Stewart magazines are particularly good at that- that clever little design twist that brings the whole piece together. I have a file of tearsheets that I keep around just for visual pleasure. After all, that's not the type of thing I usually get to do. So when the creative director at Family Circle called and asked me to create an opener for a feature I'd done, I was really excited. It was fun to do something different and learn a new skill at the same time (which in my case, meant creating a word from ribbon). I loved doing the feature. But I really loved doing the opener. Here it is - a word created from ribbon. I'm such a craft geek.
