I have one last project I wanted to share with you from Better Homes and Gardens. It's simple and you can easily pull it off in an afternoon. Even better, you can use dishes and serving pieces you already own, and because the silhouettes are removable, it can be temporary as well (though some motifs you might be inclined to keep up during the entire fall season).
To make them, all you need to do is cut a silhouette from matte, black Con-Tact paper (found in hardware stores and some craft supply stores) or matte self-adhesive vinyl (check Etsy.com). You apply it to a plate or tray, smooth out any air bubbles with your fingertips, and you're done. I love the way they dress up my rehabbed cabinet.
